1998 Rear Defrost Doesn't Workthetenfold 02-01-2011, 06:11 PM My rear defrost does not work in my Ford Escort SE Wagon. I press the button and it lights up, but doesn't work. I can hear the relay click after I press the button. The fuse is good, but I'm not getting any power to the grid. What should I do now? consultIII 02-01-2011, 08:44 PM When you say your not getting power to the grid; does that mean you checked the connector at the grid for voltage? If you have no power at the connector but hear the relay click; check for power out of the relay. If there is voltage at the grid connector you may have broken grid lines. Post back which is the case. thetenfold 02-02-2011, 09:14 PM When you say your not getting power to the grid; does that mean you checked the connector at the grid for voltage? Yeah. Then for shits I checked all the grid lines across and nothing. So, trace it from the relay to connector? I wish I could find a diagram showing exactly where it runs.
