What's under the rear folding bench seat?534BC 01-22-2011, 01:33 PM I'm shopping for a 3 or 4 year venture and see that they have bench seat in the rear. When the seat is up or down there's still a large item on top of the rear floor (it is much higher than my 99) I'm 99% sure I can mix and match seats from van to van , but can't get a pic of the rear of a 2 or 3 year van without the rear seat. It looks like a handle to remove all 3 peices of rear seat? What is under the very rear portion? (not the lower cushion nor the seat back) what is it's purpose? Thanks, pic of one would be nice. pastaben 01-24-2011, 09:29 PM Sorry, no pics, but that raised part is a very shallow organizer. The newer ventures have a folding 3rd row bench that does not fold into the floor, so they have that organizer to make it more like a "floor". Once you remove it, you will see that its a regular floor like any older Venture. The one piece Bench seat has the same mounts as the older versions with the split bench seats. They are interchangeable. I've owned a 99 and 04 together, and have purchased seats to interchange. I sold my 04 one piece bench seat and purchased the split bench seats. Be aware that some split bench 3rd rows can slide fore-aft, while others cannot slide fore-aft, and some can recline more than others. 534BC 01-25-2011, 04:49 PM Got it. I understand. Thanks.
