Hi,
I have a 99 camry, 4cyl, 165,000 miles. While, starting some mornings or been idle for few hours, car will start and die, unless I step on gas pedal for few minutes and hold, then runs fine.
Any suggestions, please.

I would clean out the throttle body, paying particular attention to spraying the cleaner liberally in to the square or diamond shaped hole in the base of the throttle body. That hole leads to the idle air control valve, where your problem may exist. They get gummed up over the years and can cause problems like you describe. Spray the cleaner down that hole first and let it soak while you go on to clean the rest of the throttle body.
