2000 regal-will not start.

2000 regal-3800 engine with 180,000-will not start,I don't know what to try but I can't get it to turn over.

About a month ago it did the same thing and I didn't try to start it for a week and we got some warm weather and the thing started. Maybe I have water in the tank.

Anybody have any ideas what I can try?

by not start, do you mean the starter engages and turns the engine over, it just doesn't fire up and run?

Yes the starter engages it just doesn't turn over and run.

Now it starts after letting it set for 3 days. I sure don't know what the problem was.
