I own a 99 VW Passat V6 Automatic, a couple days ago my my daytime lights wouldnt turn off when the car was completely turned off and locked, they would go off a second later and turn right back on, one night they stood on for about 3 or 4 hours while I was at work leaving me with a dead battery. I dont know what could be the problem, maybe someone can help me out

You need a new headlight switch. Easy to replace just grab push in and turn right until it pops out. Disconnect, replace with new part and replace. Here is a link to the euro style switch. No daytime running lights. http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-Passat_B5-FWD-V6_30v/Lighting/Switches/ Hope this helps.

Are you positive it's my headlight switch?
I mean, could it be any other problem?
I will try that, but if that doesnt work, do you have any more suggestions?
My DAY lights stay on when the car is off, the key is out of the ignition and everything, it's really weird. They will turn off for a couple seconds then turn back on. I had to buy a new battery as well.

You can try this. The procedure should be similar for your vehicle. Use the tape method. It should disable your daytime running lights. Other issues may be a faulty relay or ignition switch.
