Hi there, can anyone tell me the name of the part directly under the valve cover? I was tightening a bolt onto the valve cover and BROKE it. NOt the nut but the bolt holding the above mentioned part and the valve cover together. CAN THIS PROBLEM BE RECTIFIED CHEAPLY? I dont want to buy an all new part. The valve cover is only secured on 3 sides out of 4 and i dont think this is good. ANd is there any way of removing the cruise control? THANKS ALL.

You can't replace it because its the thread that you broke. Don't worry about it, I did it to mine, last month when I changed spark plugs. It's only holding the middle bit of plastic on the rocket cover in place anyway.

Most engineers will be able to get it out by drilling and tapping it.

You think that's bad? I snapped 4 head bolts in an EB3 block once, got each of them plled and helicoiled and away it went. Moral of the story? Never trust an aftermarket manual for torque settings ;)
