Oil Filter Cover Gasket

I have a 2003 model that is leaking oil between the oil filter bypass adapter and the engine block. I have been told by the autoparts stores (multiple ones) that I need an oil filter cover gasket. This is a $2 part. If I call the dealer, they tell me that there isn't a gasket there is an o-ring and it will cost $23. I don't want to drain the oil and pull the thing apart until I have the right part. Anyone replace this part and know what it looks like? This a link to show the picture...

The part you reference is for a windstar, not a Venture. I would go with the dealer.
