Hello there. Iīm new on this forum and this is my premiere here. My WIP is FORD FOCUS WRC of 2000 season. It will be a combination of Tamiyaīs FOCUS 2001 and parts of the Hasegawaīs Acropolis FOCUS 2000. I started with the rear wheels and chassis (cut Monte Carloīs suspension and make a new for a Acropolis)

Tomorrow shoots more photos

But already I have a small problem with cooler. Focus of season 2001 has 2 pipes before cooler. But Focus of season 2000 has 1 pipe or 2 pipes? I have a photo from Cyprus rally where Focus of 2000 season has 2 pipes. Unfortunately I donīt have a good pictures from Acropolis rally. Only one where it looks as if Colinīs FOCUS has only one pipes. Here are the photos:

Cyprus rally (with 2 pipes)

Nice wheels and good job with the pinture.
And regarding the pipes, I think both pictures have two pipes (see them more carefully) and bare in mind that both cars are the same (V5 FMC) with the gravel setup. I did the Motecarlo one of Sainz and it had 2 pipes as well.

Now I donīt have much time because I must write seminar papers in school :crying:. But I am very pleased your interest.Thanks.

PS: About pipes. Focus of season 2000 in Monte Carlo and Swedish rally drove without this pipes. In some gravel rallyies Focus has 2 pipes but in Acropolis and Argentina rally has only one pipe.

And if you have any photos of Acropolis Rally FOCUS 2000 please upload them here.

Hi Lukas

Nice and impressive start to your build. I like the weathering on the wheels. I'm very curious as to how the body of the car is going to look like...

Sadly I cannot help you with pictures.
Good luck with your build.

I finally had some time and here is my progress. But I need help. My skills are limited and I'm not sure the accuracy weathering. I feel as if there's something missing. But I do not know what. I have only this photo where can see dirty chassis:

Thanks guys.

JesusM - thank you for photos

DerXL- weathering is "simple". I donīt have ani pigments from MIG or CMK (With them, it would be easier). I used only what I have at home. Sand base is REVELL email paint Nr. 17 (MATT AFRICA BROWN). This color is diluted in a ratio 1 : 5 ( paint : thinner ). I paint with a brush from tamiya ( HF Nr 2 - item number 87047, HF brushes is perfect for email colors) I let the paint dry slightly. Then I used Weathering Set from tamiya Type A (SAND, LIGHT SAND, MUD ). With the foam I butt the whole surface. I used only SAND. After this step I used dry pastels from KOH I NOOR. They are great because when scratching the surface we get the dust (light earth brown, medium brown and dark brown - this pastels mixed together) . And I fill this dust into the hollows and fixated with thinner. After that I fixated with GSI Mr. SUPER CLEAR coat spray. Thatīs all. I repeated some of the steps (forexample dust in the hollows)

Ah, work continues.

Just want to say that the base you put the model on looks fantastic. Very professional.

I also like the subtle panellines. Really looks great.
Judging by the left rear wheel, there's a lot of weathering to come for this build. Judging by how you did the underside, it is in capable hands.
I'm really looking forward to that part and I hope that you'll give us a step-by-step guide on how you did it (just as you explained how you did the underside, that was really helpful).
I'm really anxious to see this one finished.

Keep up the great work (and please don't keep us waiting so long...)
