Wheel stud snapped off when I was removng lug nuts, do I need to remove the rotor to replace the stud?

The rotor must be removed and the hub flange aligned with the clearance hole in the hub so the damaged stud can be punched out. A new stud can be fed through the clearance hole and pulled into place with a nut and drift washer, or better yet, with a thrust bearing like those found on Greenlee knockouts.

Thanks for the response. I took off wheel and also brake caliper, loosened the HUB bearing and the three back 13MM bolts that retain the hub, moved HUB forward enough to allow the stud to be slipped in place, and then with a few washers and a lug nut was able to tighten the stud into place.I am done and Grandson and his honey are GONE.
