H&R springs+koni's or GC coilovers+koni's?

Im looking into getting a performance suspension and my two choices are the H&R sportline springs with koni yellows or Ground Control coilovers with the Koni yellows. I have an "03 civic si and the H&R springs would lower it 2" front and rear. The GC's I believe I can drop the car anywhere from 0-4". Since I live in NY and it snows a good portion of the year, I would like the option to raise the car up in the winter and lower it in the summer which I can do with the GC's. Although Ive heard some bad things about these coilovers; that they have a tendancy to squeek and make weird noises when driving. Anyways Im just looking for what you think of these two setups and which you would prefer based on ride quality, reliabiliy, handling, etc. Im not really looking for which you would prefer based on tunability, being able to lower or raise the car, since I will have to decide that on my own. Also with the Koni yellows Im still not exactly sure how much they sell for. Some people are saying like $600 for all 4, but on the GC website it says its like $150 for front and $150 for rear. So if thats true I would assume they would be more like $300 for all 4. Thanks for any help.

i've heard nothing but good things about ground control so i would go with them. and it would be nice to be able to pick the exact drop you get and raise it when you want to.

Ok thanks for the info. Does anyone know how long it takes to adjust the drop height on the GC's? Thanks again.

it shouldn't take too long i'm guesstimating around 2-3 min a wheel at most

re: the yellows for $150 each - thats per wheel, not per pair. so it would be 600. but shop around, i usually see yellows go for $525 shipped for all 4.

Ok, thanks. That's not too bad I suppose. It seems like if I saved up an extra $200 or so I could get real coilovers. Still not sure If I really need coilovers though.

The yellows are the sport shocks right? Actually, I belive they're able to adjust the spring up to like a 2 inch drop, not 100% sure, but chec it out. So you could buy an H&R OEM with like a 1 inch drop, not too bad, and then use the shocks to adjust the springs. Or you could keep it simple with the GCS. they should take from what I hear no more than like 30 mins or so for the whole car. But make sure, when you adjust, you adjust your camber kit and try and keep all four wheels at the same height.

Thanks. For right now I think I am going to just go with springs until I can save enough for a full coilover kit. There are a bunch of people over on a different forum just running springs with stock shocks on the si with no problems. Some with over 13k miles with this setup, so hopefully I won't run into any problems before I can buy the coilovers. I don't think the OE springs are available for my car, but they may be for neunan's. I'm pretty sure you are right though, the Koni yellows are somewhat height adjustable.

I am using H&R springs+koni's, which is really good
but I think Ground Control coilovers with the Koni gives you better adjust, which is really good as well!
