I have a 2004 lincoln ls v6 and the light that shows what gear I'm in is out. Do you know what fuse this is. I looked in the owners manual and I'm not sure which one it is...

I don't have the service manual for the 2004 LS, but do for the 2002. Assuming that the illumination wiring did not change significantly for 2004, the transmission gear indicator light is on fuse F2.33 (10 amp) in the Central Junction Box. This fuse also powers the switch illumination for the TCS disable switch, the Emergency message switch, the ashtray light, and seat heater switch lights. The wiring diagram symbols for all these lights are of regular bulbs, not LEDs. If the other interior illumination works, you probably have a failed bulb rather than a fuse issue.

You are referring to the indicator in the console next to the shift lever rather than the indicator in the instrument panel, correct?

Yes, it's F2.33 on the 2004 as well.
It won't be the fuse, it's the bulb, or perhaps more commonly, a loose connection at the bulb.
