How much would you pay for my Neon?

I haven't made any final decisions as of yet, but I am thinking about possibily selling my Neon down the road as things in life progress for me...but I wanted to get some ideas of what he's worth to an enthusiast. I do not want to trade in to a dealer, and would rather see the car go to someone who would appreciate and take care of it.

If /when Marvin goes up for sale I will NOT be parting it out. The car will be sold as is...the only thing I will sell separately is the body kit (Xenon), which is not painted or installed.

So here's some nice little factoids for you:

1997 Dodge Neon Sport Sedan - Emerald Green

The car was purchased new on May 9, 1997. I had a decent front end collision in October of 1998. The car got a new hood, fenders, headlights, bumper, radiator, AC compressor, paint job on front clip. Forutnately most of the damage was just cosmetic. Suspension and tranny were ok. The car did get a new torque converter around 55K or 65K miles. The orignal motor blew at 96,000 miles (water pump seized) and was replaced with a DOHC motor from a 98 Neon (400 miles on it at time) now has approx. 58000 miles on it. Headgasket, timing belt and tensioner, and water pump along with a few other misc gaskets were replaced nearly 3 months ago on this motor. Transmission is original, and gets serviced every 15,000 miles...still shifting smoothly.

Engine: 4-Cyl 2.0 Liter DOHC
Trans: Automatic
Drive: Front Wheel Drive
Mileage: 153,000

Equipment
Air Conditioning
Power Steering
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Tilt Wheel
Cruise Control
AM/FM Stereo - removing my stereo system, will replace cd headunit and speakers
Dual Front Air Bags
Dual Power Seats - black leather Acura NSX seats
Rear Spoiler
Premium Wheels - 17" Team Dynamics Motorsports

From www.kbb.com :
Consumer Rated Condition: Good
"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. The paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. In states where rust is a problem, this should be very minimal, and a deduction should be made to correct it. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A clean title history is assumed. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail; however major reconditioning should be deducted from the value. Most recent model cars owned by consumers fall into this category.

Private Party Value $3,165

Extra goodies I have added:

EXTERIOR:
-emblems removed
-clears on front
-Grillecraft grille inserts
-antenna shaved

INTERIOR:
-silver accents
-custom power outlets/switch
-APCcarbon fiber gauge overlay - have one from MP waiting for install
-OBX carbon fiber/chrome gear shift
-Razo carbon fiber pedals
-Acura NSX power/leather seats

WHEELS/TIRES:
-17" Team Dymanics Motorsports
-Sumitomo HTRZII 215/40/17 Z-rated tires SUSPENSION:
-Eibach Sportline springs
-OBX strut tower bars - removed for motorwork, not reinstalled yet

PERFORMANCE:
-Iceman cold air intake
-HP Racing exhaust

MISC:

So what would you be willing to pay if the car was up for sale right now?

The car is free of any liens too.

Honestly, I'd rather get rid of the whole kit at once...I need the garage space, and preferably closer to AZ, but I could figure out shipping costs after find some kind of huge box for it :lol2:

The kit is potentially sold...I am waiting for the rest of the payment before I send it out. If my buyer ends up not coming thru I will contact you :)

Welcome to AF :D I made this thread quite some time ago, so the statute of limitations for scolding me has expired. Marvin will be sticking around for awhile....at least until it becomes a complete waste to keep fixing things....then again some people would say its already a waste :lol2:
