my s-10 blazer has a steering issue. my steering wheel has about 2 inches of play. what would cause this much play. any help would be greatly appriciated. thanks

From the most likely to least likely.... Loose or worn: steering gear box, idler arm, tie rod end, steering shaft rag joint, pitman arm, center link, lower control arm bushings, upper control arm bushings, (ball joints and wheel bearings would be a stretch, but possible).
