My Blazer Story. Any other 5 speed blazers out there?

I've had my 2001 Blazer for about 6 years now. Bought it in 2004 with 25k miles on it from a couple that used it as a spare vehicle since it was new. I've def. done my share of maintenance and repairs on it since. It's a 2 door, RWD.

But I LOVE this damn truck. I don't really see myself selling it/buying something else anytime soon. Personally, having the 5 speed makes it that much better. I've always favored a manual trans, and the day I found my blazer, I was in love. I was looking at an S-10 extreme auto when I found it, and haven't thought twice since!

I've done just about every repair possible on this truck (except for the clutch and fuel pump - knock on wood). Of the 6 Chevy's I've owned, this has been my favorite by far. I actually enjoy taking time off to work on this thing. My dad taught me how to work on cars from the day I got my first car at 15 yrs old (a 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix 2.8L auto). I'm 27 years old now btw.

Anyways, just wanted to share my story.... And I was just curious if anyone else out there had a 5 speed Blazer. Mine was Bone Stock, with no radio or speakers from the factory. The orig owners told me it was the only one on the lot when they bought it.

hope this isn't in the wrong area. Feel free to post your story as well!

Not many plain one out there anymore.
Never see one with out raido.
Most have automatic transmission and air and ps and other stuff.
Glad to see someone that does not need or want all the extra stuff.
Was wondering what gas mileage you get on yours?
