What month and year was your GP made? This data should be on the label located at driver's side door.

What part are you looking for? Cut-off dates can vary quite significantly depending what part you're needing.

As Richtazz pointed out what specific part, if any, are you referring for your GTP? 1st and 2nd design annotations refers to specific parts changes introduced in the production year. There are a few for '97-'03 Grand Prixs.

For example on '97-'98 GTP/GT/SE there is a 1st and 2nd design for the engine drive belt system. The serpentine drive belt has two different size lengths available due to pulley redesign. 93" or 93.5".

Other examples are HVAC blower motors and hub/wheel bearings. There is a 1st and 2nd design for these items but I recall this should not be applicable to your year GTP. Covers only certain years.

Also, you can due a search of old threads in history where 1st and 2nd design is covered more in detail. Use keywords "1st design" or 2nd design".
