86 E250 clubwagon dual tank switch

Have a 1986 E250 clubwagon 7.5 L 4 BBL I Was wondering if anyone can tell me how to bypass the switch on our clubwagon? the back tank cannot be used, and we don't want to use it anyway, but think the tank selector switch is out because we aren't getting any power to fuel pump now. Also is there a fuel pump relay on this vehicle and where is it located. My chilton is no help!
