HI everyone
My wife was driving our 2000 Ford Escort ZX2 home today, she went to pass someone and the car died on her and would start, only crank. I towed her home, started looking for the problem, First I thought it was the fuel pump. Then I noticed a Fuel Injector Fuse was blown, I thought cool that's all it is. I went and bought 2 and it started!! :) went for a test drive, it ran fine until I accelerated from 40 to 60 and it died on me, The same fuse was blown.
Does anyone have any Ideas? I'm thinking a fuel injector? but have no way of testing them.

Thanks in advance
Brian

To check the injectors, with the engine running put the handle of a long screwdriver against your ear and the end to the injector. You should here the injector clicking. If you don't hear anything or one sounds different than the others, take it out and check the resistance across the terminals of the injector. It should have 11-18 ohms of resistance. You can check it with a Digital Ohm voltage meter. You can get one at the hardware or auto shop for just a few bucks. If the resistance measures out of the range specified replace the injector.

It is fixed!!!, turns out the Alternator was bad, It was a new one we bought a week ago from NAPA, they warrantied it :) Now car is back on the road, Turns out the alternator runs off the Fuel injector fuse :)
