Hi,
My engine for my 1998 grand prix with 235000 km died on me. So I replaced and installed a brand new 2003 pontiac grand prix gt engine still in the crate 0 km.
I also replaced the catalytic converter and oil filter air filter.
1. I am noticing oil leaking not a lot...I would like some thoughts on why its leaking. Is it because of the engine or a hose not configured/installed properly. We have replaced the oil gasket. I am looking for other ideas as to why the oil is looking because of the installation of the new engine.
2. The existing on board computer will it automatically recognize the new engine or do I have to take the car to a GM dealer for them to modify or relay to the car computer that their is 2003 engine. The sensor that displays the L/100km is showing 14.5 km/100km should that number be lower given this is a new engine.
Any thoughts thanks shawn

Where is the oil leaking? What specific part/section of the motor? Have any pictures?
