Hey guys. I was driving around today going shopping and my car decided to buck back and fourth on me again and threw the p0742 code again for the torque converter.
I had them clear the code. I know it will throw it again in time. This happened to me a few months ago and hasn't returned till just today. I've been driving all morning so the tranny was hot.
My question is if I install the ZZ Performance shift kit will it stop this? I know this shift kit is for the PCS going bad but I have no idea if it has anything to do with or is somehow a symptom of this code.
I plan on going ahead and having a rebuilt tranny put in at a tranny shop when I get my taxes in but thats not for another 6 months and I need the car to hold out till then. Any suggestions guys?
