The tires are NOT made by Vulcan. They are made by Falken.

The top 10 finishers at Nationals last year all ran the Falken Azenis :)

I know they don't offer the same amount of grip, but what have you heard or even experienced yourself with and about the Yoko AVS ES100's? I'm sure they will be better than my current Kumho 711's.

I heard (now this is only hearsay) that the ES100s are better than the 712s. But now I've been hearing the Kumho MXs are great almost as good as the Azenis, but not quite.

Hmm, but don't the MX's have a faster wear rating than the Azenis? I'm still torn between the ES100's and the Azenis, but I dunno. I want the longer wear and better wet handling of the Yokos...

Simply because they sell tires, and Falken happens to be one of the many brand tire they carry. :silly2:

Falken Azenis...relying on a friend's opinion...full of praise for it.

Not that I know of. I know the MXs should have the same or better wear rate than the Azenis.

What are you going to use the tires for again?

Right it's like Tirerack.com doesn't carry just one company. Vulcan and another company are the only ones to carry the Falken line for some reason.

Some auto-x'ing, I do a bit of mountain pass carving, and of course lots of daily point A to B use.

My 711's I have on now, I've gotten 15,000 miles on them. Avout 14k being actual street miles, the rest between 4 auto-x's and a bit of mountain pass driving. Not too shabby for a tire I paid $28 a piece for. ;)
