This is Modelers McLaren F1 GTR LM resin kit which I am converting to the F1 LM road car, I have the Profil 24 McLaren to do a full detailed race version with. This year I'm trying to build the heavy hitters, some of my coolest kits that I'm tired of seeing lying around in boxes. This kit is very simple, no engine and electrical boxes, which will be removed, molded into the one piece chassis. They did a great job on the shape of the car and wheels.

The body is designed to be held to the chassis by screws so it has thick attachment blocks made into the body blocking grills and vents which should be open. I will grind these off to open the holes and put screen in where necessary.

Most of the parts, there is also a photoetch sheet and vacuumed formed windows.

BTW - Ray Bellm did this to his real GTR. He has one of his ex-Gulf cars converted back for road use. Oh to be that rich;)

Not yet, but some time this year. I'm in the mood for quick builds right now, then to finish my Stradale, 288 and more Ferrari's. The F1 will be waiting til later, but you never know with me. :screwy:

I love this car with the LARK livery, but yours veyron is promising well too !!!

I have the long tail kit with the Lark decals, but I was thinking of doing a modern West McLaren scheme on it.

By the way, Studio 27 have reissued their McLaren F1 kits which are exact copies of Modeler's. Studio did some minor updates like scoops and such, and they have done some new livery versions.

I will certainly follow this thread passionately, as I own the Profil 24 Mc Laren F1 gtr and planing to convert it to the F1 road car (not GTR). But I'm afraid not to have already the skill to make a correct interior and to transform the front bumper...

I wouldnt call Veyron rich (maybe he is), he just has his priorities in line. I'll follow this thread also!
