My success story.....finally!Tinkerin_wit_tools 08-30-2010, 07:36 PM A little over a year ago, there was an acceleration/hesitation/stumbling issue with my wifes' 99 Blazer. Well, this is what has been changed out since, from beginning to end: plugs, wires, distributor cap, MAF sensor, fuel filter, air filter, thermostat, coolant temp sensor, and finally, the ignition coil. I have completed all necessary oil changes at intervals and cleaned throttle body intake, flushed and refilled coolant, and the like. This has stumped me for some time and I have taken it to two different mechanics and they have told me to do all that you see above after doing diagnostics with no codes and pressure in all lines. Finally, it was my local auto parts shop guy that recommended to stop using gas with Ethanol and use Berryman's B-12 chemtool Fuel Injector Cleaner for two weeks. Well, I must say that this stuff is magic in a bottle. I have been through Lucas, STP, Chevron, and all the names in the Walmarts as a fuel additive. The first day, letting the gas run down in the tank, refilling with non Ethanol high test and using one bottle of the Berryman's, and the car no longer has the issue. Thank you to not only all the people that recommend non Ethanol gas, but the clerk who recommended this product. The very first day running the car was a noticeable difference and now a few days later, my wife says there still is no problem. Looks like I would recommend this to everyone reading...........Good Luck!:smokin: danielsatur 08-30-2010, 08:24 PM Ethanol gas does'nt work very good in small Briggs & Stratton engines either. Thank you for the feed back. Tinkerin_wit_tools 08-30-2010, 09:15 PM Ethanol gas does'nt work very good is small Briggs & Stratton engines either. Thank you for the feed back. Yes, I know. I heard a horror story from a co-worker about it seizing up his string trimmer only after a few short months of this recent season. I am now a strong supporter of non-ethanol based petroleum!! old_master 08-31-2010, 05:37 PM ....I am now a strong supporter of non-ethanol based petroleum!!.... Better not let Al Gore and the tree huggers hear ya talkin' like that. ;) Fact of the matter is... ethanol does not lubricate. Remove 10% of the lubricating properties in the fuel, and you WILL have problems. I agree, stay away from ethanol at all costs. mike2004tct 08-31-2010, 08:23 PM Better not let Al Gore and the tree huggers hear ya talkin' like that. ;) Fact of the matter is... ethanol does not lubricate.
