Hello everyone,
I own a nice and reliable 1999 Venture.:nono::screwy::screwy::rofl:
I noticed the carpet on the passanger side wet.
I lift the carpet looking for the source and found approx 1"inch of water under the carpet.
I think the water is comming from the ac drain lines been cloge, but I can't find the location of the drain-line.
I looked under the car around the area of the firewall and i noticed the ac had a normal drain drip but I can't see the line..
Has anyone had a simmilar problem? How did you fix it?
I am going Crazy trying to find the Location of this AC Drain-line and Nothing..:shakehead:runaround:

Any information will be appreciated...
Joe.

If you have the van jacked up, look from #1 plug back to the firewall it is almost directly behind that plug on the wall. Where mine is anyway.... BTW mine is just a piece of pipe (think it was supposed to have a rubber elbow or sumtin, but that is all I have....

Thanks
Is there a way to access the drain line from inside the car.
Is the line connected to a Tray that holds the condensation from the Evaporator?
Thanks
Joe

IDK about inside the car, suppose if you were to remove the dash, tear apart the Evap chamber you could, why do you need to?

lesterl, all the drains are like that--just an open pipe thu the firewall. I would have thought that it would at least have an elbow to point down, but maybe that plugs up often.

Outside of the AC backing up into the cabin, I would look up under the wheel cowling inside the fender. I"ve got my engine and frame sitting out of the van right now while the tranny gets rebuilt and I started cleaning up the body around the wheel wells. I took down the inner panels from the fenders. They were just packed with mud up under 'em and lots of wet debris. This was backed up mostly behind the door hinges which can be clearly seen once the wheel cowlings are removed. IMO, this would be a major source of water entering the cabin.
Take a look at yours, if only to assure yourself that nothing bad is going on in there.. .
