say ls7 cause its the best motor around pluss its a small block so i can keep handeling without sacrificing the power of a big block

But in a Dodge? Perhaps you could find a Nova... Or a '78 Malibu... If you're concerned about "handling", why in the world do you have a Dodge Dart?

Sorry, dude. I coldn't resist. You'll find it a rather significant "undertaking" to install the LS in the Dodge. Perhaps a 408 Dodge? Small block, good power and tough stuff... Bolts right in...

No doubt. LSx is a GREAT engine. But, IMO, it belongs in a Chevy or other LATER model GM performance car. I even cringe when I see a '69 Firebird with one in it. Last time I saw that was at Norwalk a couple years ago. There were no less than 10 Pontiac-powered '69s "lined up" to take his money. And they ALL did! LS is a good engine, as said, but it isn't the ONLY engine... (:-

I agree, go with a Mopar crate engine instead.
However, if the LS engine is just sitting in your garage collecting dust, why not try to stuff it into your Dart. You would probably be the first one on your block to do so. :2cents:
