just an update on the camry from hell........
The 30A AM2 fuse was blown (though I'm sure I checked it before and it wasn't), now it keeps popping the 30A AM2 fuse when I try to start it.....any ideas?

I would check with the wiring diagram and see what devices are potected by this fuse.

Disconnect them all.

Put in new fuse.

Start plugging them in one at a time.

The bad one will blow the fuse again.

Good luck,

Sam

Finally found the culprit.....I had the wires to one of the injectors pinched in the valve cover (DOH!)
Now that it's running its throwing CEL 0340 (Camshaft position sensor "A" Circuit (Bank1 or single sensor))

That could be damaged insulation. Make sure it is OK.

As far as I know Bank 1 is O2 sensor. But the code could be thrown due to short in wires because of the bad insulation. Repair it, clear codes and let us hope it will never come back.

Good luck,

Sam

apparently it'll throw this code if the timing is off.....I'm guessing I'm out a tooth.
