91 town car throttle speed

Hi,
My 1991 towncar seems like the throttle is still putting a bit of output even though my gas pedal is back to normal. The car still seems to go even though my foot is off the gas and the gas pedal is back to the normal position. Is there some kind of sensor for this?

Yes there is a Throttle Position Sensor which is located at the opposite side of the throttle and overdrive whips on the air intake it is black in color and should have a connector with three wires. Here is a picture of what to look for:
