Towelboy80 05-14-2003, 02:22 PM It's a good idea to put a R32 engine in a S15... It's a idea for my S14 VeilSide ;). The Nsx looks great. To compress your pics, try the ACDSEE shareware, it's an easy program. RyanGiorgio 05-14-2003, 02:36 PM MMM that engine loks good sitting in that silvia. Nice NSX too. I will update you guys ASAP. wait till you see the scratch built hood!! :bloated: cph81 05-14-2003, 06:37 PM Looks like we have a SARS in this forum, Swap A RB26DE Symptom. Cool cars. I am VERY happy with this paint it is beautiful in person) integra818 05-14-2003, 07:11 PM They both look good. :) Is blueboost the first one to do the RB36deTT Silvia conversion? MORE PHOTO's please Forhod 05-16-2003, 04:29 AM Originally posted by cph81 Looks like we have a SARS in this forum, Swap A RB26DE Symptom. :spit: Nice one!! blueboost : Nice NSX, your S15 project is cool! Hope to see more~ Using stock rims? blueboost 05-16-2003, 12:53 PM Thanks again for all of your compliments. I snapped off plenty of new pics today. I have an update on the silvia for you guys with a shot of the custom hood and front facia, kinda givin you an idea how the body is coming together, also a shot of my interior guages. How do you all suggest I make the hood functional (you know..open and closable like say the revell integra) and what color do you suggest I shoot this bad boy? i was thinking dark silver gunmetalish or something. Originally posted by Forhod :spit: Nice one!! blueboost : Nice NSX, your S15 project is cool! Hope to see more~ Using stock rims? No way! I have a couple of sets of aftermarket wheels on the way from HLJ as we speak. :D I also will be posin a new thread with some pics of my integras and my skyline, just to keep your appetites wet. so stay tuned, I go to NOPI tomorrow where I will be sure to finish off this roll of film. :D :D Forhod 05-16-2003, 01:06 PM okey, keep us posted!! :D blueboost 05-22-2003, 02:08 PM Now, I know the shots are sucky. I bought the most expensive disposable camera they had and got them to make me a CD when I went for developing. Thats what they said would work but my closeups suck. I did snap interior and more engine pics but they were unusable Anyways, here you can still see the customization I did to the hood plain as day. the big bulky muscular looking "shoulders" on the hood are custom molded styrene sheets attached and then puttied on each edge and smoothed together. without this the hood would look weak and IMO adds a whole new respect to the front end of the car. the car has been shot with 4 coats of testors gloss dark blue, then a finishing coat of boyd's blue pearl to deepen the finish. It looks great. Not p-man great (or any of you other masters), but its nice. of course I will be posting more pics, but they will be shots of the finished product. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/818830S15wholefront.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/566787S15hood.JPG Deniz 05-22-2003, 02:42 PM does this photo look better?? i think so Deniz 05-22-2003, 02:45 PM 2nd one blueboost 05-22-2003, 03:00 PM hey deniz... thats why YOU DA MAN!!!!!! :jump: blueboost 07-15-2003, 06:23 PM here you go guys, pretty much finished, the engine bay needs work but other than that its a go... mods include.. -carbon fiber wing (wing and carbon fiber from SAS thanks Chris!) -custom carbon fiber (working) hood -roll cage -workmeisters gold w/ chrome lip -RB26, with custom larger turbos both plumbed w/ cold air intakes (see - engine shot) and custom FMIC (intercooler) -paint is couple of coats of GREY primer, than 4 coats of testors dark-blue, then 2 coats of boyds blu-pearl. -custom carbon fiber/aluminum exhaust -front facia custom shaped and custom lip spoilers added -custom guages in the middle 3 A/C vents in dash. -lamboghini diablo orange and grey guages -custom rear view mirrors so much more I can't remember in rush at work... now for the pics... :feedback: http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/508156silviapeg.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/407152silvia.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/228235front3Q.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/607963frontwheel.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/229841silviaback.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/512218exhaust.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/971395front.jpg Hiroboy 07-15-2003, 06:28 PM W:eek:W that looks very nice :bigthumb: A lot of work has gone into this one and it paid off. bah humbug 07-15-2003, 06:39 PM :ylsuper: themodelkid 07-15-2003, 06:43 PM Very Nice!!!! I mean wow! Great job!! 1 question, where doyou get the small clear tubing??? the clear tubing on the engine is some of the stuff they use to attach like a die-cast car to its packaging or to like keep the doors closed they are like high-grade twist ties or something. specifically, it came off of my 1:18 scale autoArt R34 skyline packaging. I LOVE THAT NSX!!!!! I hope you saw the S15 on the 2nd page my friend... BaNe 07-15-2003, 07:35 PM LOVE THE NSX! oblaise 07-15-2003, 07:36 PM Originally posted by blueboost haha, yeah theres more swappin going on around here than at a swingers convention :o :spit:  All joking aside those cars are sweet. The engine in the S15 is awesome, good job. The NSX is my personal favorite though, very nice choice of shoes(rims). Not to take anything from the S15, they are both perfect...10.....10........10:bigthumb: JDM Wagon 07-15-2003, 07:45 PM i like your carbon work on the s15. good job. :bigthumb: :bigthumb: SpoonMan Dos 07-15-2003, 08:30 PM I have to agree with everyone else, both cars look fantastic! My hats off to you! DirtyOne 07-15-2003, 08:37 PM Wow.... the S15 is..... ahh shit i cant find a droolign icon.... eheheh its worth drooling over... and is that NSX 1/25 scale? look a little bigger for some reason... if yes can we have the make? thanks GOran blueboost 07-15-2003, 09:00 PM next step is to install these huge brembo's that came with a wheel set from HLJ, and I would very much like to change the seats to black or blue/black. and add some panel lines. another pic for ya. I love that exhaust http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/858244back3corner.jpg willimo 07-15-2003, 10:00 PM Why does everyone want panel lines? They don't ever look nearly as pronounced in real life as they do when you call them out with ink or paint or whatever it is you guys use. Just me, though. joecwlaw 07-15-2003, 10:01 PM I like the cf muffler. :bigthumb: Layla's Keeper 07-15-2003, 10:23 PM Very pretty pair of imports. The S15 looks clean and sweet, while the NSX is as wild as it can be. I like them both a lot. ShOrtyOC714 07-15-2003, 11:36 PM Yo is that Carbon Fiber on ur hood from SAS? Thanx hon808os 07-16-2003, 03:33 AM hehe you ain't gonna be getting any detonation with that huge intercooler btw can i get a look at the interior? IwannaDRift 07-16-2003, 03:55 AM Beautiful install and paint.. but.. the exhaust is a "little" to big, maybe the tip can be a little smaller/... Towelboy80 07-16-2003, 12:14 PM Nice car, I like particularly the hood. blueboost 07-16-2003, 12:22 PM thank you all for your compliments!!! :D :D you really have no idea how much it means to me. I took the pics for you guys, otherwise I would have no need for them. answer some questions... the NSX is a tamiya raybrig NSX. (1/24) I got my buddy to take those shots with his digital camera and its a serious pain as I gotta pack the models up and take them to work and have him bring camera etc.. I don't want to trouble him too much. we tried to get some interior shots but they werent coming out right so I didn't post them. the exhaust looks to scale IMO, but in the pics I can see where your coming from, it looks larger in the pics, in person i promise- its just right. :D Mean_B16 07-16-2003, 01:26 PM Lookin good, keep it up.:bigthumb: Integra14 07-16-2003, 01:29 PM looks sweeeeeeeeeeeeet! but Chris (SAS), how come when u put ur CF on ur models they look 10X better Blue boost applied it right i think, but it doesn't look like cf at all... JUST black and WHITE stripes IM not trying to diss SAS, cause he makes amazing stuff, but i just don't understand how urs looks better than his... blueboost 07-16-2003, 01:54 PM Originally posted by Shorty4859 Yo is that Carbon Fiber on ur hood from SAS? Thanx sorry to forget your Q shorty, yes thats SAS fiber and wingset. those close ups do make it look striped like you said integra14, i mean for a decal its amazing but its gotta be pretty hard to replicate the 3D effect of carbon fiber, SAS has done it the best IMO. and I have probably 2-3 other carbon fiber decal sheets, most of which is just a mesh pattern or square white and black blocks, chris's decal has a more intricate weave (look) to it. :iceslolan rx7king 08-11-2003, 01:38 AM mean b 16..your engines are the shit i wanna see more! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
