burning oil and hesitates on acclerationJerrijax 07-21-2010, 11:47 AM I know it is burning oil and now it hesitates when its warm..does not do it when cold. But pulling on to an exit it won't go for a few seconds then jumps and goes...I have been very good about keeping the oil topped off. Several mechanics say "they don't know" put it on machine and nothing came up...help ??? Mike It is a 2004....V4...with 79,000 miles. thanks for any help its uses 4-5 qrts of oil every month, this just stared 2 months ago, but there is no sign of leak, no smoke out the back, so I juist keep checking and putting in oil, last repair they changed the spark plugs, but it was doing the hesitation prior. Know one seems to have any idea about why its using oil or why it hestitates, taken it to 2 mechanics, they put on their machine and nothing showed up. Thats why I got on the internet...I love my car and just want to get it fixed. somick 07-22-2010, 11:35 AM I would check the compression. This Camry generation is known for head gasket failures. Good luck, Sam Mike Gerber 07-22-2010, 05:00 PM ^ I would have to agree. The amount of oil you are going through: "(with 79,000 miles...its uses 4-5 qrts of oil every month, this just stared 2 months ago,)" to me would indicate some internal problem. A compression check is the way to start tracing the problem. Good luck. Mike Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
