Hi, anyone have a description on how to change the lower control arm bushings on my 2005 camry?
I see some posts on older vehicles but nothing for mine.
Thanks.......

Try the factory service manuals stickied at the top of this forum for that information. Here's the link:

Thanks Mike, I already looked at this before I posted. The drawings are Ok but I was hoping for a 'real world' description...you know..this is difficult.. or don't forget to do this etc...............Folken

btw Mike, the bushing change is from a dealership recommendation. I have 60,000 miles on smooth roads and I think bushing changes at this mileage would be pretty rare? No?.......Folken

Hi,
Since my original post I have been busy.

I have a 2005 Camry that has worn lower control arm bushings. Not that bad as yet ( according to my friend who works at a muffler and alignment shop ) but should be done.
One Toyota dealer says they can change the bushings
(part # 48650 07020) but another Toyota dealer says that
this VIN # that starts with 4T1B.. you cannot do the bushings you have to change the whole control arm.
Toyotapartscheap.com- also says that they bushing is not available and I have to change the whole arm.

Who is right? I have NO IDEA!! , help would be appreciated.............Thanks Folken............:runaround:

ps should I also replace the ball joint at the same time?
