Hmmmm....

1985 Gt Apex Trueno Sprinter, RHD and all.
1996 FD3S Rx-7 TT done by ASpec in ASpec Red(or is it mazda torch red?)
1991 Protege GT-X/91 323 GT-R, in the same red.
1995 Subaru Justy AWD 1.3L turbo custum rally car
1980's Porche 911 Turbo, in solid Black.
1982 Volkswagon Rabbit Gti
My cousin's 1991 Protege GT after I've performed the FWD-to-RWD conversion and swapped the BP18 for a 13BT
1991 FC3S Mazda Rx-7 TurboII, in the whitest white known to mankind
A fiero with a supercharged 454 mounted in the rear with the entire roof converted to an air intake for the blower.(kinda like having the intake stick up outta the hood on old muscle cars but since the engine would be in the back it would stick up over the roof, then conver the roof into an air intake...)

Finally, my one true dream car. The only car I don't care about the technology, the power, the handling or anything else. Hell, I don't want to know about it for fear it might ruin my image of it.

A 25th anniversary Countache in red.

Hmm, hard choice...

1997 Ferrari F50, red
1997 Koenig F50 Biturbo (turboed version of the above), yellow
2003 Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG with CL600 wheels, CLK-GTR exhaust, modified turbos
1969 Chevy Camaro with 702 swap (not a typo, engine exists!), orange
1970 Plymouth Barracuda with 528 Hemi, twin turbo, adjustable boost, Caddy Northstar style engine management to shut down 1/2 of engine for street use (not realistic but WTF lolz), black
198? Audi 5000CS (NASCAR version of the 200, does 220mph, perfect sleeper...), black
19?? Alfa Romeo 164 Procar (F1 engine, does 215mph, another sleeper), red
1998 Koenig F55 (twin-turbo Ferrari F355), targa roof, not sure on whether to have the paddle shifts, yellow
1994 Porsche 911 Turbo (993), with GT2 engine, maybe small parts of the GT2 kit, maroon
2002 Qvick Mini Cooper S3, new Mini with BMW M3 engine, RWD, all custom, raced in BelCar league, black/green.

That's about my perfect choice, not sure on some like the Camaro, 993 tho, and having both F50's and both the Alfa and Audi. It'd be good to have a BMW M5 too, maybe with elements of the Hamann kit, a Lotus Esprit, Viper... the list goes on. :D

EDIT: Only 2 non-European cars? Ah well, comes from living in Europe. :)

Here is an Enzo and two Murcies in white, one with the optional pearl finish. I think it would be cool to have a 10/11 car garage with every car the same color, maybe a little boring though...

OK, here's my 10 car dream garage...including a few that have been missed by others

1. 1997 Mclaren F1 GTR LM (repainted orange)
2. 1985 Porsche 959 (my personal favorite street car of all time, red)
3. 2003 Lotus Esprit V8 Turbo (purple, this would be my good weather daily driver)
4. 2004 Subaru WRX STI (blue, for when it rains, snows, or I feel like driving on gravel)
5. 2003 BMW M5 (Blue, for carting friends around)
6. 2003 Kenworth T2000 (white, need to get the cars to the track, and yes, it's a mighty big garage)
7. 1992 Williams FW15 (blue/yellow/white, last and best of the active suspension cars)
8. 1993 Toyota Eagle (white, last and best of the GTP cars)
9. 1971 Porsche 917/30 (blue/white/yellow, last and best of the Can-Am cars...would probably make some non factory safety mods)
10. Renault Espace F1 (Maroon, the 800 HP minivan, for getting groceries and REALLY messing with people on the street)

And, since the 11th spot has been added, I have room for the 2002 Audi R8 (silver, need to have something to race competitively)

I feel lucky that I've been able to see 7 of the eleven up close, and have gotten rides in 4 of them.

2001 Kennworth T2000
2001 BMW M5
1994 McLaren F1

To answer the other obvious question, I have seen the Toyota Eagle, Porsche 917/30, and Audi R8 up close (I'll probably see two R8's up close next weekend at Road Atlanta)

Not too sure of the specs, but without a trailer it'll burn rubber in 4th gear (of 12) at 30 MPH. I believe it's speed governed to 118, and will probably get there towing a full trailer. The 2001 I've seen all this in is what we use to get our race cars to the track, and though it may not be the ultimate tow vehicle, it will hold its own.

I wont go as far as saying it's not an RS, but i expected a bigger saving than 50kg. Let's wait and see what the testers say. And more importantly, the lap time around the 'ring. I'm expecting it to dip below 7.50

The RS 200 doesn’t go 0-100 in 2 seconds. The standard model sprints to 60mph in about 6 secs, it’s the turbo-nutter 680bhp Evolution model that does 0-60mph in 2 secs.

-Novitec Ferrari 360 Spider (with removable hard top) (Ferrari Red)
-Lamborghini Murciélago (Cotton Candy Blue)

-Dodge Viper SRT/10 (With Hennesey or Startech performance parts) (Red)
-Saleen S7 (Yellow)
-Pagani Zonda Roadster S 7.3 (Yellow)

There it is...and don't ask me why I dont have crap shit like S65 AMGs and CL65's, and SL this and 760 that...im in this for the supercars (not to cut up the high quality craftsmanship involved with Mercedes and BMW, but in terms of supercars...they just dont make the list)...the only car on my list that i dont consider a supercar is the cayenne turbo, (which i would purchase using my own mone for good reasons) and is still impressively fast...id use the cayenne for taking groups of ppl places, etc...or mayb on a road trip or vacation...(since the garage only fits 10 cars, id prolly park the cayenne on the driveway, but not in the way of my basketball court... :)

stop lying, we're all just trying to talk here about cars stop trying to impress us with made up, B.S., the last post you made in the "The Fastest you've driven" thread...that doesn't even make any sense, are you even old enough to have a licence....doesn't sound like it.

wow noob, how smart is it to antagonise a moderator? Says a lot for your intelligence, really, it does.
Next time someone points out that you misspelt one of the most famous car names in history – with a smily at the end of their post – don’t be a sensitive asshole and thank them instead. If it was a typo, say so, but if you get pissed off whenever someone corrects you, AF will kindly do without your juvenile input. Think twice before making any more inappropriate replies.

They may not be the most expensive, but they are what appeals to me. Some, I would simply like to experience, considering the great history behind them.

3. 69' Plymoth Roadrunner (with the Hemi, funny lookin front and the just too big rear wing)

You mean a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird.

In 1968, Ford dominated NASCAR with their Torino Talladega. So, in 1969 the Dodge boys came back with the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona (based on the Charger). Dodge took the lead again. In 1970, their was a racer that was contracted to Plymouth. He wanted to race a Charger Daytona, but due to his contract he couldn't, so the 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird (based on a Roadrunner) was introduced. Because it was NASCAR, a certain number of the car had to be produced to the public in order for it to be allowed to race in NASCAR. So, in 1969 the Charger Daytona was sold to the public, and in 1970 the Roadrunner Superbird was. Both were only sold for a single year, and they are both amazing cars.

I thought that aerodynamics played a part in that. I remember hearing that the '69s were a safety concern because of downforce or weren't doing as well as they were supposed to, thus the change in the bodystyle. The superbird is basically a charger with a nosecone and wing...?

I aready posted a top 10, but here's my second go ...

PLEASE STATE YOUR OPINION ON MY LIST!

Just seems like a bunch of supercars. Very cliche and impersonal to me. It kind of lacks passion. Seeming like you like them because they are expensive, or very desireable to everyone; not because they make your heart sink everytime you see a picture of one.

That's just what it seems like, and is my opinion.

12-11-2003, 03:45 PM
sorry prelewd...thats not the case...sure the cars are all expensive, but i have studied all of them for extensive periods of time, read many articles on each of the cars, watched many videos of each of the cars, seen most of the cars in person at auto shows, and some on the street, and have an exquisit passion for the curves and lines these cars share...but thanx 4 ur opinion

Porsche
12-12-2003, 06:55 PM
Agreed Prelewd, the Mclaren does seem to appear on every list but keep in mind it is the ULTIMATE road car, peoepl will want them given an opportunity.

It seems that some people take it a little over the top and just put on the most exspensive and/or popular cars> You are allowed to put whatever you want, but I guarantee you that everyone who picked a 2003 Lamborghini or Ferrari will want the 2004 model if this topic comes up next year.

That's why I have looked at a lot, I mean a lot of cars, taken my needs into consideration, along with practicality and a few other items, here's the new and improved version.

1. 2004 Porsche Cayenne S
2. 2004 Lotus Elise (US Spec) -> Modified to look like a Sport 190
3. 1998 Ferrari 355 Berlinetta
4. 1997 Porsche 911 (993) GT2

I got the grocery getter, the gala goer, the track star and the weekend fun machine.

BTW, white2rabbit, tasteful list, the Novitech is by far the closest thing to sex on wheels, one of the few tuned cars done right, oh so right.

I know what you mean about people only wanting the most expensive up to date cars, but in all honesty, would you rather have a Cayenne S or a Cayenne Turbo, considering you don't have to pay for either. I mean yes we are all trying to be individual with our lists, but why not take the faster of the two? (I'm not quite sure if there are any other differences between the two Cayenne models, but I would rather have the Turbo).

There's no particular order :

Renault 5 Turbo II (260 hp in a Renault 5 !!!)

Citroën SM , because it's so... strange, and very revolutionnary when it came out in 1973 (not sure for 1973...)

Ferrari F40, the be(a)st !!!

Peugeot 206 RC, for an everyday use

Maserati Quattroporte, because... it's a Maserati (sick of seeing Mercedes/BMW/Audi everyday)

Hummer H1 only for driving in Paris or on the périphérique (the one who have already driven in Paris will easily understand why :evillol: )

Citroën Traction, to drive the first traction (at least the first on mass market)
http://www.a-weniger.de/images/citroen%20links%20vorne.jpg

Bugatti EB110 (Bugatti blue only), my favourite supercar, maybe because it's the only one i've never seen :banghead:
http://www.bmwccn.no/nor/kapittel1/galleriet/galleriet_ogp2001_bld24.jpg

Jeep Willis, certainly the american car I prefer (not only for design or motor reasons...)
http://www.livecommerce.it/progetti/pianadelleorme/film/jeepwillis.jpg

And of course, the Renault Fuego, THE car everybody loves :
'But, it's not a car, it's a Fuego !' -J. Paul II
'Meeeeeow' -My cat
'My favourite car' -Bush Jr
'Who is the designer ?' -Hannibal Lecter
'Nothing compares my Fuego' -Marylin Manson
'I don't wanna buy this Cadillac, I want a Fuego !' -Tom Cruise
'If I could, I'd race with my Fuego Gti' -Michael Schumacher
and much more, but there's not enough space   :smokin: :lol2:

I mean yes we are all trying to be individual with our lists, but why not take the faster of the two? (I'm not quite sure if there are any other differences between the two Cayenne models, but I would rather have the Turbo).

I tend to throw price into the eqaution, whether it is there or not. If price was made no object (clearly stated) 95% of the people would choose the saem dman cars, or very similar ones. don't get me wrong, these machines are all at the top of their respective food chains, but they get boring after a while, well hearing of them anyway.

That's why I picked the S over the Turbo. I perosnally will never have a need for a 450 hp Porsche SUV, it's almost borderline impractical. The Cayenne s has a decent motor, the badge and a bit of German engineering behind that badge, enough for me.

If you looka t the reasons in my list, you cna see why I wouldn't need the Turbo, all other cars on there are sub 5 second 0-60, fast enough for most people, myself included. It encompasses all my wants and meets my needs.

I'm almost tempted to throw in an Old Camaro or Mustang or even Citroen SM (Nifty headlights that turn with wheels) because half those cars can't make half the racket a 396 or 428 can, or bring out the golden years of these comapnies. It's all about personalities, and some people even think have the faster, more exspensive cars newer cars, will make their list better, whatever floats your boat I guess.

I also like to look at it in terms of my climate, the maintenance these cars will need, a GT2's connecting rod isn't available in the NAPA catalog, unfortunately.

I think of these things cause that's the way I am.

BTW, Prelewd, the EB110 does indeed have a Quad Turbo fed 5.5L V-12 cranking out some 555 hp. Check the EB110 SS I hear it's north of 600 ponies. The new Bugatti Eb 16/4 also has a Quad Turbocharged engine, I guess they like to blow.

7. For my dream track day special: A Fraser Clubman with a 3SGTE in Blue and make it as mean looking as a Lotus 7 knock-off can be
8.For my top-down cruiser: Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG in Silver, with red leather
9.For my load hauler An Audi RS2 Avant (MAAAAAAAAYBE and RS6 Avant) either way I'll have it in black thanks
10.For my all-rounder: a 993 OR a 996 Porsche 911 Turbo- few cars are better

and since we are doing 11 cars- my Tuner car can be a Mk4 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo.

As for Fuego's as much as they are loathed these days over in New Zealand, they were popular Yuppie-mobiles in the 1980's as was the Isuzu Piazza, a Fuego GTX would make an AWESOME beater to trash until it dies, I'm currently looking for one under $600 to do just that :D

Hehe, damn, I actually posted a topic very similar to this in another forum without knowing about this one. Well, here's what I had: (note, I had slightly different criteria, that's why I have a "family car" in it, lol)

1. family car: 2004 Volvo S60R (It's a nice safe car, but it's not too shabby in the speed department either)
2. 2004 (or 2005, haven't seen it yet, so can't say until I see it)Ford F-150 SVT Lightning
3. 2005 Ford GT
4. 1969 Ford Mustang Mach1
5. 1992 Ford Mustang GT (this will be my project car to supe up :iceslolan )
6. (any year) Saleen S7
7. 2005 Aston Martin DB9
8. 2004 Ford F-250 Extended Cab (I'm gonna raise this sucker and have this as my fun mud-boggin truck! )

Anyway, look at the early 90's BMW 850i, that was a pretty nice looking car. Pretty little, with a 5.0L V10. :)

I think you mean V12 ;)

Very nice looking car indeed, have often thought about getting an 840 (more reliable than 850)

Demon_Mustang
05-05-2004, 10:58 PM
Oh the 850 appeals to me because the engine in my car is 5.0L (well, technically 4.9L but it's been rounded and the nickname 'five-oh' have stuck).

If this car survives a couple more years, I am planning on completely overhauling the car, changing out the engine and a lot of the interior things. Basically fixing everything that's not working perfect, and upgrading everything else so it'll, in essence, be a brand new car. But the new engine HAS to have a displacement of 302ci, so I can keep the "5.0" badges on my car. :)

me?

well..... there's another garage of ten cars.....

and another ten after that.....
i'm not sure if 10 is enough.
i mean, some cars are just meant to be paired with another.
can you really have a DB4 gt zagato without a 250 GT SWB next to it?
is a F40 'complete' without a 288GTO?
can you have the 300 SL without the 507 (hehe... bonus point if you know the link)?
246 gt without the stratos?
it goes on....

i think i have 50 or so dream cars.

anyway.
i wouldn't have the carrera gt in there.
hmm, i bet that's your 'sensible' car.....

I love the CGT, it's absolutely perfect in my eyes.

And I know what you mean about 'pairing', but if you're limited to 10 it's difficult...

i dont know. DB9s just dont have the styling that the AMV8 has. Why wouldnt you get a sl65? I dont like the sl's because im a manual freak, f1 shifting is pushing it. What is the smart barabus? Also the lamborghini Diablo was a little weak. Why do you like it so much. Also i think that the RR is nothing compared to the Quattroporte.

Yes, of COURSE the Diablo is weak! All cars without nitrous and over 800 hp are weak and should be treated like disposable pieces of shit, didn't you know that???
*cough*
Yes, sure, a car that threatens to kill you with ever prod of the throttle, a chassis that loves to spin...not drift. Yeah, that's "weak"...
I think the guy who said Diablo's are weak....is a tool.

Listing:

1: 1980 Vauxhall/DTV Chevette HSR Sprint. Small hatch with a 260 HP, 2.3L Slant 4.
2: 2005 Ariel Atom 2
3: Caterham SV with the RST 2.0L V8
4: 1971 Dodge Demon 340, twin turbo, lowered by maybe 2 inches, lightened, and tweaked to handle....hee hee.
5: Shelby Cobra 427 Competition (Not S/C)
6: 2004 Renault Sport Clio V6 255
7: 1992 Lotus Carlton (3.6L I6 twin turbo, 377 hp @ 5200 rpm, 419 ft/lbs @ 4200 rpm....stock. Worlds Fastest Production Saloon/Sedan at 176 mph....Remember, all factory BMWs and Mercs are "restricted" to 155. Why would I want this? Well...I need a daily driver :D
8: 1976 Toyota Celica GT (Swapped 7M-GTE or 2JZ-JTE...for fun)
9: 1973 Datsun 240Z with L28 Turbo engine...
10: The crazy part: 1985 Pontiac Acadian (Chevy Chevette), caged/framed, dropped in 4.2L Jaguar V8 + tranny, modded Dana 35 rear axle, custom carbon-fibre wide fenders ala #1 (Vauxhall Chevette HSR). Front Fascia from a South American Chevette or an Austrailian model I belive the CS...can't remember.

*blinks* Wait, I just made a list without Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Mclaren showing up!
Sweet!

actually... you can have the limiter 'removed' on modern mercedes by request.... although this is in actual fact, just a lifting of the limiter to something like 186mph or some other nonsensical figure.

Oscuro
05-14-2005, 04:46 PM
*nods* Still, it is not as it is made from the factory :P
Besides, I like the look of the Carlton a lot better than most modern Mercs or BMWs. Yes yes, BMW is a great driving machine, something that flatters your every moe...but where's the fun in that? *chuckles*
Eh, either way, I'm a nut and prefer the odd-ball cars for some reason.

o yes i couldnt control a diablo, wow...are you a two year old? Pre-vw lamborghinis, may have been nice cars once you took them off the lot but do to the lack of testing and engineering capability they were un reliable. Its sad how many people are easily swayed by the swoopy lines and large engines of a lamborghini, but when push comes to shove ferraris reliabilty and performance will kick the ass of any lambo. Those cars were just for show, diablos is a sheep in wolf's clothing. But they are getting better, and they may also enter le mans, which would mean they would have more tests and become better cars.
