Coilovers ? ? ?abdrury 05-12-2003, 10:20 PM I am in the market for new wheels,(17",205/40's) and a lowering job, and coilovers appeal to me the most. What are some downsides of coilovers, and are there any other aftermarket accesories I would need to correct a 2" or more drop? I don't know much, but have heard that anything more than 1.5" requires extra attention. Eibach makes an alignment kit that allow for + or - 1.0 degree for the front that sells for $35 delivered. Obviously as you go lower expect tighter ride and more road noise esp over rougher roads. 97civiclx 05-14-2003, 02:21 PM my friend is giving me a set of dropzone coilovers he bought for his carbut they were the wroong ones. he said they are suposed to give me a zero to 4 inch drop. my question is am i just going to need and alignment or will i need to replace my struts also. i have a 97 civic lx 5 speed.
