Best TiresRein 05-11-2003, 10:40 PM Looking for 225/40/18s that are great with dry grip and are the longest lasting in this class of tire. I know it still wont last that long, but I want the best. We get probably 20 days of rain the whole year, so I will just drive more carefully when it does rain. CivicSiRacer 05-11-2003, 11:46 PM You are almost asking the impossible: a great dry grip tire that lasts long. You have to pick one or the other. Rein 05-12-2003, 09:44 PM Yea, I'm aware that it's hard to get a long lasting dry grip tire, I was just wondering if there was any that had maybe better wear than others. Ok, here's the new question: What's the best dry grip with minimal road noise? liquid8 05-13-2003, 02:56 AM what kind of mods do you have rein? what kind of times have you ran? what kind of cars do you race and beat.... your car looks tight Rein 05-13-2003, 02:12 PM Well, the car you see pictured is now sitting in my dad's garage for the next 3 years. I'm driving a 98 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro. It has an APR exhaust and an APR Chip. It's estimated putting out 216 hp and 262 ft lbs. I just bought the thing yesterday in san diego, and let's just say I had a good time with it on the freeway drive back up here. In comparing it with the estimated times on supercars.net, I'd guess low 14s. I don't think I'll make it any faster as that is just fine for a "luxury" car. puppylove888 05-20-2003, 04:18 AM how about yokohama es100? ACURAmail.com 05-21-2003, 04:59 AM Toyo T1-S hjn 06-04-2003, 10:40 AM Nitto Neo Gen, are in my opinion, the best tires out... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
