if you are planning on going all motor for your b-series motor. i would go with this header and a test pipe or flex pipe. this header will put out more power than any aftermarket header out there. mugen even uses the same bends and is $400 dollars more. i will gather and post dyno runs of different b-series setups soon.

also it is good to protect your header with factory heat shields or a race skid plate. i just looked at my header and there was a little scrapping.

here's what can happen if you don't protect your header.

you'll notice how the header is welded on the inside of the exhaust inlets. to get 15% more flow. weld on the outside of the header and polish the inside of the inlets.

Just buy the heat shield. That skid plate looks ghetto.

that's what i would go with is the factory heat shields. but either or works. is that a pic of your car B16EJ?

I see most of the pics you posted of the header are actual jspec cars. I suggest to everyone, if you plan to buy this header, don't buy the BS larger flange to weld and modify your oem civic cat. Just search like I did and go all the way and do it right.

Yeah here's another shot of how much better the heatshields look than that plate.

i bought the larger flange and i just had a flex pipe added to fit. i can add the oem cat when emission time comes. other than that, i'm straight through 24/7. What exhaust are you running?

I try to keep my car as legal as possible so I run the JDM ITR cat instead of a straight pipe w/ that larger flange. My exhaust is a Tanabe Racing Medallion.

how does that sound with the racing medallion. I'm running the ITR Header, Flex Pipe and Tanabe Hyper Medallion. It has a nice hallow metal ripple sound to it.

That's almost the way I'd describe mine. I have a friend with a C5 in his hatch and even though I have the ITR cat my VTEC screams almost as loud. Anyway I have almost the exact setup as you. I'd like to see your engine and exterior pics.

sweet. i'll take some pics soon. I've read articles saying the stock cat and a test pipe will make the exhaust sound the same. The only difference is slightly more hp and exhaust flow.

The exhaust flow on the ITR cat is hardly restrictive. Like I said before. I suggest to all poeple buying this header. Do it right and if anything get a high flow cat and weld the larger flange to that instead of running straight pipes or test pipes.

i did mine the right way. but, i'll take pics and post them soon.

I'm not knocking your setup but illegal is not the " right way ".
