Forgive me for my misspellings and errors



Ok, I no longer have this car, But a few years ago I was driving it down the road and the gages just started shooting all the way up. I had just baught a new battery for it and had it installed. Any idea what would cause the gages to shoot up out of the blue. I was going mabye 10 - 15 mph, it was on a dirt road. After they shot up, the car died. After waitin a few moments, it started back up with no problems.


As I said , I no longer have that car, but would like info for future refferances....Thanks....

Shot in the dark here, but I was havinging the same problems with my 98 Jeep (actually dash would go dead) and they diminished massively with a new battery of proper size, old battery when truck was bought barely cut the mustard.

I only had a remaining issue every so often after it had been raining of which I tracked down to a hole that was barbaricly drilled through the firewall and never plugged.
