Slightly rusted frame

Hey guys

I am a grad student here at Houston. I am looking at a 2004 Corolla that has barely run 42k miles and runs like a breeze. The only concern is that it was driven in Chicago for 40k miles (where is salt is used on roads to melt the ice which also corrodes the car's metal) and upon getting the vehicle inspected, I was told that the brake calipers and rotors need to be replaced since they are rusted. Struts are also corroded but it is a suggested replacement. Now I am in Houston where there is no salt problem, though being a hurricane affected area, its always hot, humid and raining.

Being a toyota, I will probably use this till its 150k atleast and I am committed to maintaining it very well. I was wondering if its worth buying this car. Also how long do you think before I need to replace other components because of rusting?
