Has anyone ever installed new gas tank on a 95 GM? It looks pretty easy, but I know all too well how those "easy" jobs turn into hard ones!!! Thanks for any help.

Just try to find new mounting studs for the tank straps. Original ones are snapped off on installation and are just a little short. Usually the straps will not "stretch" far enough to attach the nuts back. Other than that it is fairly straight forward.

Thanks WTO. So i guess i make my own mounting studs? As long as I know there IS a solution, I may as well try it! Thanks again

I wonder if the small leak has anything to do with the car taking so long to start after sitting a while. Somethin has to be causing it!!!!:runaround:

Sorry for the late answer. If the car sits a long time and is hard to start, the fuel pump could be leaking off causing it to have air in the lines until it gets "primed" again. A small leak in the tank would not cause a hard start unless it drains the tank. It is dangerous however and needs repaired.

Yeah, I already priced one and it's only $210.00 @ Oreilly. Thanks again.
