I have a leak from the o ring between the intake manifold and the water pump housing I put it in "dry" no sealer . I tightend the long bolt to butt the manifold up to the housing first then torqued the manifold down to spec what type of sealer is used on the o ring? I was told pyrmatex blue doesnt stick to rubber

I also had issues with my 400. Not a great design there but a dab of RTV RED on both the timing cover and manifold cured it on mine.

Dudes...
Sorry I missed this. I've had MAJOR comp0uter problems of late (lightening strikes). We use Permatex "Aviation" on the manifold side, "dry" on the timiong cover side. One must make certain the surface of the timing cover is clean and "flat". The WHOLE surface, not just the area where the o-ring goes.
