Hi my name is Heather, I have a toyota but a friend of mine has a 93 honda civic lx with a 99 civic si swap. he had problems with the pistons so he's changing them out. Is there a DIY for changing the rods, inserting them or installing them properly? Any engine related mods including pistons, rods, and stuff like that will help. Thanks!

you better go somewhere where they do the swaps for you and engine work. Cause messing around with the crank isn't fun. unless you know what you are doing. it's a lot of work.

Agreed, doing any crank work is pretty involved and only those that know exactly what they are doing. If they must DIY the job, I'd HIGHLY suggest they pick up a Helms Honda manual that will show them how to change that stuff out.
