I recently got a 98 Ram 1500, one of the first things I noticed was a squeak, from either the belt tensioner or idler pulley. I picked uo the pulleys and a new belt; today I swapped out both pulleys and inspected the belt. It took about as long to do the work as it did for me to find my 1/2 drive 15MM socket; a 1/2 breaker bar is perfect for the job, total time 45 minutes.
