Hello i have a 2000 lesabre and my cruise control don't work. The fuse is good when i push the cruise button the light will come on, but when i push the button to set it. I can see the cruise light come on the dash but go off once i let the cruise button go need help.:moppie:

Most likely it is your brake switch. Either it is slightly out of adjustment (more likely) or broken altogether (less likely.) Look above your brake pedal. See a switch (or two)? One is for your cruise (at least in part.) You might be able to fix it by temporarily unplugging the switch and then turn it I believe counterclockwise until your cruise works right. Try it out and see. It is NOT easy to spin on my 92 because the other switch is in the way, but it can be done. The cruise switch is the one closest to the bottom on my 92. Your 2000 may be totally different, but I hope my post gets you going in the right direction.

Mine went out on my 97. It was the cruse control module on the firewall. I got a used one at a pull a part for $5. Put it in in 15 minutes, at a motel parking lot, and was cursing along right after.

One way I determined it was not my brake switch was, my "cruse control' light came on when I engaged it. When I put on the brake, the light went out. That told me the switch on the turn signal, and the brake switch the was working.
