Love those group C cars too. Although I've never build much of them.
Actually, I half built only one of them. A Jaguar XJR-12, beautiful car. And that must have been some 20 years ago.

And I recognize my own build in your work. Back then I was also a brush-painter. And it showed. Just as can be seen from you work.

I don't know how old you are and what can and might be expected. But I do know that with a bit more patience brushpainted parts can look like spraypainted parts.
Personally I swear by acrylic paints for brushpainting and especially by the new(ish) Aqua Color range from Revell. Can be thinned with tap water, can be applied in very thin but very good covering layer(s).
I've achieved good results with them and I'd advise you to try them out for yourself (if available in your country).
