replacing right front cv shaft

I need some helo on this,, i thought i had seen some guides as to how to remove this shaft,, but cant find it anywhere,, i am planning on replacing the right front shaft,, as the cv joint is trashed,, this sunday and need some guidance. thanks in advance

I would definitely recommend running to Autozone and picking up the service manual for this. If it's anything like my 96 Sierra (I now have an 02 sonoma), it was pretty straight forward. hardest part was separating it from the diff. That just took some muscle to get it out then pushed back in. Getting things out of the way was a lot easier than the manual's directions. Doing it the first time, just follow the manual and you should be good.

thanks,, i found an article somewhere else, got the shaft out,, now found that the inner shaft is shot,, theres a bearing on the end of the inner shaft housing that is destroyed, and the inner shaft is messed up.. had to find one,, which i did in north carolina,, its on its way. thanks for your reply
