97 Dodge Ram 1500 radiator replacement
05-30-2010, 04:52 PM
Kept overheating. Pulled the water pump and the pump wheel thing was no longer attached to anything inside the housing. WOW.
I also got a replacement radiator but there's one thing I haven't quite figured out yet.
On the passenger side of the radiator, toward the bottom, there is a "nipple" for the auto transmission line, or at least I think that is what is.
On the new radiator the is just a "stub out" nipple.
On the old radiator there is flexible hose and I believe it is "crimped" onto that nipple, but I'm not sure.
Any help on this is appreciated.:runaround:

I would just cut the transmission cooler line hose and use some clamps on them.
