i was just looking at these cool cars you guys
make but i will like to know what scale are they.
onother question: is paintbrushing good for the
outside of the body. or is it better just on small
parts like the pieces of the motor:flash:

All the cars you will see (well, mostly) are 1/24! There are 1/20, 1/18, 1/16, 1/12, 1/43, and 1/87 scales as well but they are not as common.

For all your questions please check the FAQ at the top of the forum thank you :)

Hello machinehunter, welcome to AF

1/24th seems to be the most popular scale around these parts. It is my favoured one at least. It makes a nice compromise between size and detail. However there are other popular sizes, like 1/20th - for Tamiya Formula One cars; 1/12 - lots of detail but also take up lots of room and time; and 1/43rd - super small.

Regards painting yes brushpainting doesn't work too well for the gloss finishes on most cars, but is good for small pieces. However, if a brush is all you've got then go for it, we all have to start somewhere.

Yeah 1/25th seems to be popular amongst american manufacturers. Probably makes more sense than 1/24 but either way it would be nice to standardize. The difference doesn't sound like much but is signifigant!
