Engine Swap

Is it possible to swap out a 3 cylinder 1.0 and install a 4 cylinder our of a Prism or the like?
I have a 90 Metro with a 5 speed tranny, and I want to replace the engine for better power.
Any ideas if it can be done, and would I have to change all of the mounts to get it to work?
I haven't been able to find out anything on this.
Thanks for reading my posts.

Yes you can, but it needs to be out of a Metro or Swift. Prizm is a Toyota, has nothing in common with our cars whatsoever, our cars are Suzukis.

Three cylinders are available from 48 to 80 hp, and four cylinders from 68 to 115 hp were put into our cars over the years. Contact Mike at 3Tech Engineering for high performance, or high fuel mileage cams or headwork. Your three cylinder can make 60 hp easily, a noticeable difference.

Putting in a four can be done but it's a pretty big job. Engine and transmission mount in a different place, so all mounts and the axles must be changed. Brakes and hubs aren't really suited to the four cylinder, best bet is to change them too. Gear ratios are quite different between the two engines, so the transmission should really be changed, and the engine control computer, all sensors and wiring have to be swapped over. TeamSwift has an entire category just about engine swaps, that's the place to find out details.
