99 Alero service engine light flashing

I have a 1999 Olds Alero, 3.4L V6. Currently the service engine soon light flashes while I drive, I have had the codes checked and they are a P0440, P0302. The car runs just terribly; it doesn't seem to want to shift, it is turning more than 2000 rpms at ~55mph (used to turn ~1800 rpms at the same speed), it will BARELY pull itself up hills. Any suggestions besides setting it on fire?!?

I looked up both codes for you, and I think that the first one, P0440 might just be a loose cap after filling up your tank? I have had the same problem, and when I retighten it, it will go off in a couple days. I looked the other code up however, and it says that one of the engine's cylinders are not firing correctly.....here is the link to where I found it. http://www.obd-codes.com/p0302 Hope that helps.
