transmission fluid replacement

I have a 95 marquis 4.6 automatic need to replace fluid in the transmission, and torque converter, to eliminate shudder in transmission. how do I access the torque converter to drain it, then refill it?

To access the TC drain plug, remove the round plastic cover at the bottom of the bell housing. In there you will see the TC. You will have to turn the crankshaft until you can see the TC drain plug. It helps if you have a second person with a breaker bar to turn the crankshaft while you're underneath to have the person stop turning once you see the drain plug.

Be sure to use only Mercon V. Never use anything that says "universal." Only Mercon V has the tightest specs in the friction modifier to help eliminate the shudder.
