Hardwiring a Escort Passport 8500

Anyone have any idea on how to do this? I just bought one and the cord running down the side is really pissing me off! :o I want it to turn on when I turn the car on and etc.

hey i don't know if youhave done it yet or not but here you go.
item wire color Polarity where to find it
Ignition black/yellow + ignition harness
or tap it to the accessory turn on from the radio. But i have found that that can cause the fuse to blow sometimes. Do it form the Ignition wire, much more reliable and better.
