1985 720 no power in 4th or 5th

i just bought a 1985 z24 4x4 king cab when i was driving on the interstate the truck had no power in 4th or 5th gear (wouldnt go past 65)
in 3rd gear would accelerate normaly does anyone have any idea why this would be???
