auto or 5-speed? cuz if its an auto, sell it if u want something fast. if its a 5sp, then u could always look at jus buying a 50-75 shot of nitrous. its cheap easy power an u'd jus have to upgrade ur fuel injectors an make sure to run on the highest grade fuel available to u when u run it.

also...the k20a3 swaps rite in...so if u've gotta deep pocket book, then u could always consider that.

as for simple things to do...try gettin some 2 1/4 inch piping to weld to ur muffler (cuz a muffler doesn't do anything for performance). u could remove ur a/c (if ur car has it an u don't really need it). hrmmm...other then that, ur gonna have to spend money to get that car to move.

Alot of people want a fast car . Yet you people always suggest a motor swap . granted it is a very good idea but not everyone has the money to do so . When most people say they want to make their car faster , they are talking about keeping there current car and setup , and trying to use a few boltons to get a few added HP on there . Try A Cold Air Intake , new Header , new spark plugs . Start from there and go on ... Start small .

exactly...o BTW, spark plugs don't do jack for ur car (performance-wise) an he's already gotta CAI system. unless he wants to COMPLETELY rebuild his motor from the ground (waste of money) a DOHC VTEC swap would be a much better investment. or he could always jus get a SOHC VTEC motor, but that'd be another waste considering they both put about the same power to the wheels.

the guy wants to kno how to make HIS CAR faster. not his motor. if he wanted to kno how to get his motor able to push his car into respectable times, he's gonna have to do a LOT of work, compared to jus swapping in the k20a3. we're not saying ditch the car UNLESS its an auto, because auto civics are a joke. ur going to blow ur tranny, or have to upgrade it completely, if u do get the power u want, so why not jus save ur cash an buy a better car to start from? u want to keep the same motor, nitrous/turbo is the only savior. u want to be faster then the SOHC can take u, swap it out for the DOHC VTEC motor.

You could always get a used turbo, or get one from a junk yard, and put it on, it will take some work, but its cheap, and it works. I just help someone put a Turbo from a Volvo into his VW took a while but its kicks ass now, and it cost him only 400 bucks.
